I retired a year ago after working as a Surgery Scheduling Specialist in the OR for over 26 years. My home is near Hood Canal in Washington State. My life is shared with Jerry, our cat Charlotte, who weighs 24 lbs! Between the two of us we have 6 adult children, 2 son-in-laws, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter as well as several grand-dogs and grand-cats. I enjoy feeding the wildlife that visit me everyday. Especially the squirrels, blue jays, and chipmunks. We also see an occasional deer or two. We have had a young black bear show up on our deck in the past! But what would you expect, when you live in their habitat? We also have a young male orange and white cat that is a stray and lives on our deck. He catches mice so we like that he is out there! We call him O.J.I am a Christain who enjoys geneology, quilting, reading the bible and other interesting subject matter, cooking, bread making, photography, traveling, ocean fishing, computers and spending time with family. I enjoy old movies, TAGS, and game shows and enjoy some of the current TV programming like all of the Cable News channels and any program reporting on current events. My sister is Louise/Charlene on Mayberry USA. We went to Mt.Airy, NC two years ago for Mayberry Days where we hooked up with Clyde/Buck and Kathryn/Flora. We had a great time even though it rained on our parade! The crowds still showed up and the parade was fantastic as was the pork chop sandwich over at Snappy Lunch. I am hooked on sweet tea now! Although I feel like I know Kim, I have never had the same pleasure as my sister of meeting her in person. Kim and Louise both live in Texas. I got to meet up with Kathryn again in July when I was in Tennessee. I sure do enjoy visiting all the folks in Mayberry USA!
